Used for brand identification or product decoration, woven labels are an excellent way to emphasize product quality and create elevated product differentiation.
FOLD OPTIONS of woven labels:
1) End fold: End folded labels are folded down on the left and right side. 
2) Straight Cut: Also known as heat cut. It's not straightly a fold, the woven label is cut from the woven tape using heated wire.
3) Loop Fold: Same as the centre fold, but the woven label is not creased flat. It is normally sewn into the side seam.
4) Manhattan Fold: Like a centre fold label but the top is also folded down creating a flap to tuck the bottom into the flap. Sometimes the sides of the woven label are heat sealed to create a pocket for spare buttons, it is then sewn into the side seam.
5) Centre Fold: The woven label is folded in the middle and usually sewn into the seam. The information are divided on top and bottom. The information in the back can be read when the woven is flipped upward.
6) Mitre Fold: The ends of the woven label are folded under and up creating a tab to be sewn into the seam.
7) Die Cut No folding, the woven label is cut into different shapes using a die or cut by laser.

The summary of Woven label.
Main technics of woven label, are selvage, laser cut, and heat cut.

1, What is Selvage woven label?
The label will be weaved in fixed size and finished on machine. Comparing with the laser cut or heat cut label, the advantage for selvage woven label is the nice handfeel and shape.
But the disadvantage is complex produce process, and less demand in market, so that the output is not good as cut label visibly.
The selvage label has two kinds of material, plain and satin.
The selvage woven label is suitable for high class clothing, like fashionable dresses and formal suit etc. and it’s widely used in Japan, The Japanese manufacturers prefer this label with high texture, even their equipment is quite exquisite.
Generally, the material of selvage woven label is satin, but disadvantage of satin material is hard to control the base color, which is solved by the workmanship of dye or hot.

2, The machine for producing selvage label includes wood spindle machine and Crochet Machine
Wood spindle machine: mainly divided into Taiwan wood spindle machine and Japan wood spindle machine. The character of this machine is to weave the label one by one, no need more process to complete it, so the edge is selvage, and the weft yarn is combined together at the same color from the beginning to the end, the handfeel is very soft. Its defect is low production efficiency, and color limitation which only has available 5 color select.
Crochet Machine: The labels weeded by this kind of machine, can be various types. Even it can add transparent polyester yarns into it. In this case, it is named as Fish line crochet machine. Its processing and color are almost same as wood spindle machine, but strictly, it is totally different with wood spindle machine, because it is a kind of knit, the weft yarn tension is tight and in high strength. This is kind of label always uses for hot color code, which colored through heat transfer by using of the different character of warp and weft. But the cost is expensive. The cost composition of the woven label does not only include the width, length and the technics, but also the quality of the yarns. JB series yarn is the common use in the world.
Laser cut woven labels, are produced by West Germany machine mainly, which is high speed machine, to weave the label as a whole piece, the way is the same as weaving cotton cloth, and then cut in to pieces according to the certain width. Because of the hot melt character of polyester material, the yarn won’t be loose, but stick together. So the appearance and the feel will be affected by the machine technique, such as ultrasonic cut machine, it’s quite perfect and more mature than common cut.
After cut, the label will be sent to clothing factory for sewing on the clothing. Sometimes the labels need some ending process as the clothing factory request like folding. The maximum width of this kind of machine is 20.8cm. Within the width, the labels can be cut into any shapes.

Woven label can be divided into plain label and satin label according to the technics

The plain label: it weaved by crossing the warp and the weft yarns in easy ways as fabric weaving, sometimes called easy plain label. The warp yarns is fixed, which are black or white, white base label is for light base, black base label for dark color. The design and the color will be finished and expressed by the weft yarns. But the colors can be different and effected when the weft yarn crossed with warp yarn. But color is not unlimited, it can be weaved within 8 colors normally. By that, the price is affected by the width of the label (the warp yarn q’ty), the length of the label and the length of the warp yarns in different colors. If the colors and the details need to be expressed perfectly, the weft yarn has to be added double, which called double weaved. Most of woven labels use this way except care label and size label. All the designs of the woven label are expressed by yarns, which is different with the graphic designs, so it’s hard to produce the bulk with sample approval.

Satin label: all the fabric is weaved by crossing the warp and the weft yarns. Improving the quality is not only double weft yarn, but also double warp yarns, the way to double warp yarns is named statin structure. The label become softer and more smooth by doubling warp yarns. But the weft yarn won’t express the details and the groundings clearly after doubled the warp yarn, it needs some backing technics to meet some request for colors.
It is settled for weaving plain or satin label in machine. The width of laser cut satin label should be within 10.8cm, and the selvage satin label should be within 5.0cm.
