What is the Difference Between Silicone and PVC?

PVC and silicone materials are similar from the visual, in fact, they are two different materials, there is a big difference between the two materials. PVC material is not silicone material, the full name of PVC is Polyvinylchloride, and the main ingredient is Polyvinyl chloride. The silicone material is polymers made up of siloxane. They are typically colorless, oils, or rubber-like substances.

Silicone and PVC mainly differences:

1, Silicone can be ROHS certified and is environmentally friendly.
2, The silica gel texture is soft, feels good, and PVC products are rough.
3, Silicone products are relatively soft, PVC products are relatively hard.
4, The flexibility of silicone products is relatively large and PVC is not tough.
5, Silicone products are generally made more transparent, PVC products will be made to be a solid color.
6, Silica gel products will whitish after burning, the combustion odor will be relatively small, and the product will become powdery.

The PVC products will be black after burning, and the smell will be very bad when burned.

At present, PVC labels are more commonly used than silicone labels on the advantage of low MOQ and price.
