PVC can be divided into soft PVC and hard PVC. Hard PVC accounts for about 2/3 of the market, and soft PVC accounts for 1/3.
Soft PVC is generally used on the surface of floors, ceilings, and leather. However, since soft PVC contains softener (which is also the difference between soft PVC and hard PVC), it tends to become brittle and difficult to store, so its use range is limited.
Hard PVC does not contain softeners, so it has good flexibility, easy molding, is not brittle, non-toxic and non-polluting, and has a long storage time. Therefore, it has great development and application value.
The essence of PVC is a vacuum-absorbing film, which is used for surface packaging of various types of panels. Therefore, it is also known as a decorative film, attached film, and is used in building materials, packaging, medicine and many other industries. Among them, the building materials industry accounts for the largest proportion, which is 60%, followed by the packaging industry, as well as other small-scale applications.
PVC labels are made by soft PVC.
PVC, the full name is Polyvinylchloride, the main ingredient is polyvinyl chloride, and other ingredients added to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility and so on. The top layer of this surface film is lacquer, the main ingredient in the middle is polyvinyl chloride, and the lowest layer is the back coat adhesive. It is a kind of synthetic material that is popular, popular, and widely used in the world today. Its global use ranks second among various synthetic materials. According to statistics, in 1995 alone, PVC produced about 5 million tons in Europe, and its consumption was 5.3 million tons. In Germany, PVC production and consumption average 1.4 million tons. PVC is being produced and applied worldwide at a growth rate of 4%. The growth rate of PVC in Southeast Asia is particularly significant, thanks to the urgent need for infrastructure construction in Southeast Asian countries. Among the materials that can produce three-dimensional surface films, PVC is the most suitable material. In clothing accessories, PVC more used as making PVC labels, PVC hang tags, PVC bags or PVC slippers. Etc..
Pvc material is not silicone material. They are two different materials.
PVC labels material, the full name is Polyvinylchloride, the main component is polyvinyl chloride, and other ingredients added to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility and so on. The top layer of this surface film is lacquer, the main ingredient in the middle is polyvinyl chloride, and the lowest layer is the back coat adhesive.
Silica gel material is a kind of high activity adsorption material, which is an amorphous substance, its chemical formula is mSiO2·nH2O; it does not react with any substance except strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid, is insoluble in water and any solvent, and is non-toxic and tasteless. Chemically stable.
For silicone labels the MOQ is high to 2000pcs, more used as heat transfer labels.
While PVC labels the MOQ can be 100pcs, more used as sewed on labels.
Silicone and PVC soft products are numerous, because the products are similar, so it can be described as a large number of people. In fact, there is a big difference between the two materials.
Silicone and PVC mainly have the following differences:
- Silicone can be ROHS certified and is environmentally friendly.
- Silica gel texture is soft, feel good, and PVC products are rough.
- Silicone products are relatively soft, PVC products are relatively hard.
- The flexibility of silicone products is relatively large and PVC is not tough.
- Silicone products are generally made more transparent, PVC products will be made to be solid color.
- Silica gel products will whitish after burning, the combustion odor will be relatively small, and the product will become powdery.
The PVC products will be black after burning, and the smell will be very bad when burned.
At present, PVC labels are more common used than silicone labels on the advantage of low MOQ and price.
